Scottish Cup, fifth round. It’s a big game at Dens Park this afternoon as Dundee FC take on Motherwell with a place in the last eight at stake. Kick-off is at 3pm and tickets are available.
This is an all-Premiership encounter in which both sides will fancy booking their place in the next round. Visitors Motherwell have already played in one cup final this season, losing out to Celtic in the League Cup after giving the champions a good run for their money. Dundee have been in erratic form in the league but today is a good time to put their relegation worries to one side and see if they can’t get a morale-boosting cup win.
Previous head-to-head: The teams last met two days before Christmas at Fir Park. The result a 1-1 draw with Paul McGowan on the scoresheet for Dundee before Craig Tanner to equalised for the hosts from the penalty spot.
