⚽️ Championship. Fulham FC face Birmingham City at Craven Cottage with a win a must for the home side to to support their push for automatic promotion. Kick-off is at 3pm with tickets on general sale.
After relegation from the Premier League last season Fulham FC started the new 2019/2020 season as one of the favourites for an immediate return to the top tier of English club football. And while inconsistency was an issue in the first part of the campaign it had been a different story since the start of the new year with the Craven Cottage side the form side in the Championship up until a blip over the last couple of weeks.
Currently third in the table on 64 points Scott Parker’s men are currently 7 points behind leaders Leeds Unite and 6 points adrift of West Bromwich Albion who are in second place. Meaning a top-two finish, and with it automatic promotion, remains a real possibility if Fulham can get all three points this afternoon.
Birmingham City arrive in south-west London on an unremarkable run of form that sees them in mid-table with 47 points and all but safe from relegation albeit nine points adrift of the play-off places.
Will Fulham FC take the points to close the gap on the leaders or will Birmingham City leave London with the Championship spoils? All roads lead to Craven Cottage to find out.

One to watch: Aleksandar Mitrovic leads from the front for Fulham FC in more ways than one. His hat-trick against Luton in the 3-2 in late October was an example of how Mitrovic can win a home game on his own when firing on all cylinders, since when the Serbian continued his good form plundering 22 Championship goals in total so far this season. Most recently scoring for Fulham as they salvaged a 1-1 draw against Derby on Wayne Rooney’s 500th league game.

🚊🚗 Travel tips: Travelling by public transport is recommended. The nearest tube station to Craven Cottage is Putney Bridge (which is on the District Line in Zone 2) and approximately a 15 minute walk. Putney railway station – accessible by Clapham Junction and Waterloo – is just over a mile from the ground. Parking around Craven Cottage is extremely limited and restrictions apply on matchdays.
