Glasgow City v Brondby

⚽️ A European night to savour for Glasgow City in the Women’s Champions League who take on Brondby with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.  Kick-off is at 7.30pm and tickets are on sale on the gate.

Glasgow City will be hoping their European adventure can continue tonight under the Petershill Park floodlights with a victory over Brondby that will secure them a place in the last eight of the UEFA Women’s Champions League for only the second time.

The sides met in the first leg earlier this month and it’s advantage Glasgow after they secured a memorable 2-0 away win courtesy of goals from Sam Kerr and a Leanne Ross free-kick.

Last season Glasgow City made it through to the UWCL last 16 before being drawn against a star-studded Barcelona side who eliminated them from the competition, while in 2017 City departed at the the round of 32 stage against Kazakhstan champions BIIK-Kazygurtace, despite winning the home leg 4-1.

Dominant in the domestic game having recently secured a 13th SWPL title in a row, Scott Booth’s women would like nothing more to proceed deep into this competition featuring Europe’s elite.

Whatever happens tonight it promises to be another memorable night for Glasgow City in the UWCL.  Can they make it through to the last 8 of the premier club tournament in European women’s football?  All will be revealed at Petershill Park.

Ones to watch: Glasgow City’s Leanne Crichton.  Scorer of some important goals for City this season in the SWPL1, Crichton also impressed making her FIFA Women’s World Cup debut for Scotland over the summer.

⚽️ Kick-off is at 7.30pm.

🎟️ Tickets in advance are no longer on sale.

🎟️ Tickets on the day will be available on the gate priced: Adults £12.50/Under 16s £6.50.
