Scottish Cup. An Edinburgh derby clash to savour as two of the fiercest rivals in Scottish football meet at the 4th round stage. Kick-off is at 2.05pm and limited tickets are available.
For the third year in a row the Edinburgh sides go head-to-head in the Scottish Cup and while the two previous years have seen a 5th round match up this year their encounter comes a stage earlier. If you’re looking for clues a little over a year ago the sides played out a draw at Tynecastle before then cup holders Hibernian won the replay at Easter Road 3-1. And with that memory still relatively fresh Hearts will be looking to get the job done this afternoon with no rematch required.
Hibernian have faltered a little in the league of late however remain 5 points ahead of their city rivals in the Premiership table. And with their recent cup pedigree Neil Lennon’s men won’t lack for confidence as they seek to secure a place in the 5th round draw. The draw taking place at Tynecastle immediately after the match when singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald and three-time Scottish Cup winner David Weir will be doing the honours.
Kick-off is at the earlier time of 2.05pm.
