2023/2024 was a rollercoaster season for Liverpool with manager Jurgen Klopp announcing in January he would step down at the end of the campaign. The Reds won the Carabao Cup but were knocked out of the FA Cup and Europa League, before fading out of contention in the Premier League. Under new manager Arne Slot, the Reds are eyeing a Champions League run and a title challenge to regain the Premier League trophy they last won in 2020. SEASON SO FAR
A new era is underway at Anfield with Arne Slot newly at the helm for the 2024/2025 season and looking to fill some rather big boots in the shape of Jürgen Klopp. So far Slot has slotted in perfectly. Liverpool are three from three in the Premier League – including a superb 3-0 road win over arch rivals Man Utd – and matching champions Man City stride for stride at the top of the table.
Into September, the Reds have back-to-back home matches in the Premier League against Nottingham Forest and AFC Bournemouth. Then it’s Carabao Cup time with the visit of West Ham on Wednesday 25 September for a third round showdown.
