2023/2024 was a rollercoaster season for Liverpool with manager Jurgen Klopp announcing in January he would step down at the end of the campaign. The Reds won the Carabao Cup but were knocked out of the FA Cup and Europa League, before fading out of contention in the Premier League. SEASON SO FAR
It’s so far so good at Anfield with Arne Slot at the helm for the 2024/2025 season and looking to fill some rather big boots in the shape of Jürgen Klopp. Slot has slotted in well although there have been some recent bumps in the road. Heading into the final international break of the season Liverpool are top of the Premier League table, but out of the Champions League; PSV winning out on penalties in the last-16. Liverpool also missed out on silverware beaten 2-0 by Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final.
Coming up in April, the Reds have a busy spell of Premier League matches on home soil. This includes the Merseyside Derby and visits of London clubs West Ham and Spurs. If Liverpool can take maximum points they will all but secure the title. The Anfield faithful have their fingers crossed.
