Millwall FC

Millwall v Stoke City

Championship.  Millwall FC welcome Stoke City to The Den where nerves will be jangling amongst the home supporters as the fight for league survival reaches a finale.  Kick-off is at the earlier time of 1.30pm and tickets are available.

With three games of the season remaining Millwall FC will be grateful to have their destiny in their own hands, however with Championship safety far from guaranteed today’s match against Stoke City has all the makings of a nail-biter.

Neil Harris’ men battled hard on Easter Monday against Aston Villa only to lose by a solitary goal to Dean Smith’s side at Villa Park.  Currently in 21st spot with a game on hand on Rotherham United – who are in the relegation zone – below them a win for The Lions this afternoon will see them take a giant stride to Championships safety.  The visitors Stoke City are safe in mid-table and playing for pride.

Previous head-to-head: 22 December.  Stoke City winning the pre-Christmas fixture 1-0, Saido Berahino’s second-half header the difference between the sides at the bet365 Stadium.

One to watch: Lee Gregory.  Millwall FC’s top scorer this season has 12 goals to his name.  Home fans will be hoping he makes it a ‘lucky’ 13th this afternoon.

Kick-off is at 3pm.
