An interesting match-up at Stark’s Park this afternoon as the Championship’s form side and leaders, Hibernian make the trip to Fife to face the league’s worst form side, Raith Rovers. Kick-off is at 3pm with tickets available in advance on 01592 263514 or from the ticket office.
Given the differing form between the sides it’s hard to believe that they couldn’t be separated in their two meetings earlier this season. New Raith Rovers manager John Hughes has a considerable task on his hands to turnaround the fortunes of the Fife club who are without a win since their 1-0 defeat of Queen of the South at the end of October and have suffered four consecutive defeats in all competitions including a 3-1 and 3-0 loss to Dumbarton and Dundee United respectively. On the other hand, Hibernian are unbeaten in 10 in all competitions, stretching back to their 1-0 loss to Dundee United early in December and the Easter Road side have a six point lead and a game in hand to The Tangerines in 2nd place.
Previous head-to-heads: There has been very little to separate these sides in recent meetings, from their last six matches Hibs have won two, Raith Rovers have won two and there’s been nothing to separate them on a further two occasions. Their previous two encounters this season ended 0-0 and 1-1.
