Two big guns in the Premiership go head-to-head as Rangers welcome Hearts to Ibrox this afternoon. Kick off is 3pm and tickets are sold out.
The 2017/2018 SPFL season is approaching the business end and Rangers are currently in a battle for second with Aberdeen (both teams on 52 points) with champions Celtic some 9 points clear at the summit. The Ibrox side are in a hot run of form with four wins from their last five matches including a 5-3 road win over Hamilton Accies last Sunday, Josh Windass hitting a hat-trick. And with their rivals for second place, Aberdeen, hosting Celtic tomorrow if Rangers can take all 3 points this afternoon they are guaranteed to either put distance between themselves and the Dons or event better close the gap on leaders Celtic to 6 points.
Hearts have been in erratic form of late however currently in fifth they remain in contention for a European place but with Kilmarnock and Motherwell snapping at their heels the team from Tynecastle would relish an away win this afternoon.
Previous head-to-head: Back in October at Murrayfield Stadium, Rangers taking all three points following a 3-1 win.
Kick-off is at 3pm.
