Ibrox hosts the opening quarter-final of the Scottish Cup this weekend and it’s a Championship v Premiership showdown as Rangers host Dundee.
Rangers will have to knock out Premiership opponents in the form of Dundee if they are to make the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup for the second time in three seasons, while Dundee are aiming to make it to the last four of the competition for the first time in 10 years.
Both sides come into this fixture in excellent form; Rangers are unbeaten in 12 games, having won 10 of those while Dundee is without defeat in seven games. The home side needed a replay to overcome Premiership side Kilmarnock in the last round, having hammered Cowdenbeath 5-1 in the round before, while the visitors also needed a replay to get past Championship outfit Dumbarton in the last 16, having knocked out Falkirk en route.
The sides haven’t met since Rangers were victorious in the League Cup meeting back in 2009.
Kick-off is at the earlier time of 12.30pm.
