Fifa World Cup Qualifier. The Auld Enemy go head-to-head on the road to Russia in this crucial Group F encounter. Scotland v England is a 5pm kick-off, tickets are sold out.
Both sides will be desperate to win tonight’s encounter at Hampden Park with bragging rights just part of the story. For Scotland (squad below) a win is crucial if they are to maintain their slim chances of qualifying for next year’s World Cup, while for England a victory and all three points will put them in pole position to win Group F.
It’s England’s first visit to Scotland since November 2014 when the sides met in a friendly at Celtic Park with the visitors taking the spoils courtesy of a 3-1 scoreline. Prior to that in 1999 an England team managed by Kevin Keegan, secured a 2-0 victory at Hampden Park in a Euro 2000 qualifying play-off courtesy of two goals from Paul Scholes.
Kick-off is at 5pm.
