SOLD OUT.
Hibernian are the Championship’s sole remaining representative in the Scottish League Cup going into today’s semi-final against Premiership side St. Johnstone.
The match takes place at Tyncastle, home of Hibs’ rivals Hearts. The Hibees currently lie second in the Championship, five points off leaders Rangers while St. Johnstone are currently fifth in the Premiership. Hibs have had a longer cup run of things starting in the very first round back in August defeating League Two Montrose 3-0. They followed this result by dispatching Stranraer, Abredeen and Dundee United respectively to reach the semis.
St Johnstone have had a slightly easier run of things starting in the third round back in September knocking out Championship leaders Rangers 3-1. They won by the same scoreline in the quarter-finals when they went away to Greenock Morton.
The winner of today’s game will face off against either Ross County or Celtic (who do battle at Hampden tomorrow afternoon) in the Scottish League Cup final at Hampden Park on Sunday 13th March.
Kick-off is at 3pm.
