Soccer Aid for UNICEF at Stamford Bridge

Stamford Bridge is the place to on Sunday 9 June for the world’s biggest charity football match.  Soccer Aid celebrates its 12th anniversary with  Bobby Brazier, Sam Thompson, Erin Doherty, Frank Lampard, Stuart Broad, Eden Hazard and Gladiator’s Diamond all set to make their debuts.  Soccer Aid tickets are on sale now!

Celebrity returnees from previous years are Robbie Williams, Roman Kemp, Martin Compston, Lee Mack, Steven Bartlett, Paddy McGuinness, Alex Brooker, Tom Grennan and Maisie Adam. 

Meanwhile sports people taking part again are Usain Bolt, Harry Redknapp, Mauricio Pochettino, Jesus Perez, Jill Scott, Karen Carney, Jermain Defoe, Sir Mo Farah, David James, Tommy Fury, Gary Cahill, David Seaman, Roberto Carlos, Joe Cole and Jack Wilshere.

The star-studded line-up of legendary footballers and entertainment icons will go head-to-head as England take on the Soccer Aid World XI FC at Stamford Bridge.  

Unicef UK ambassador Dermot O’Leary will share the hosting duties with Alex Scott, while Sam Matterface will commentate with Iain Stirling on co-comms.  A half-time entertainment show is planned with the performer to be announced.  Previous performers include Rita Ora, Robbie Williams and Tom Grennan.


Created by Robbie Williams in 2006, Soccer Aid for UNICEF is the world’s biggest celebrity football match, raising money to give kids the best start in life.  Once a year, England take on their opponents, the Soccer Aid World XI FC.  Supported by passionate fans in an iconic stadium the event harnesses the power of football to help make sure that children can grow up happy, healthy and able to play.  The event has raised £90 million for the charity, helping those in need in countries such as Cambodia.

⚽️ Kick-off for Soccer Aid at Stamford Bridge is at 7.30pm.  

🚊🚗 Travel Tips: The nearest London Underground station to Stamford Bridge is Fulham Broadway on the District Line.  It’s just a few minutes walk from the stadium.  West Brompton and Imperial Wharf – both on the London Overground – are both about a 15 minute walk from Stamford Bridge.  Bus routes 14, 211 and 414 stop outside the ground.  Plan your journey at the Transport for London website.
