SEASON SO FAR
It’s been a rollercoaster season so far for Spurs. Ange Postecoglou’s side looked superb in a 4-0 road win over champions Manchester City in November, immediately after they’d suffered the ignominy of a 2-1 home defeat to Ipswich Town. But December saw a string of defeats for Spurs, before they bounced back in the new year with a morale-boosting 1-0 home win over Liverpool in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final, only to lose the return leg. Heading towards April, Tottenham are fourteenth in the Premier League table and in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
Coming up at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, bottom-of-the-table Southampton are the visitors ahead of European action against German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final. Then it’s back to the Premier League and a showdown against in-form Nottingham Forest. Can Spurs make it a triple-header of wins home soil to further their advancement on the domestic and European scene? All roads lead to N17 to find out!
ONES TO WATCH
A youthful Spurs side proved too hot too handle for Liverpool in their recent League Cup semi-final meeting. 18-year-old Lucas Bergvall scored the winner for Tottenham, while 21-year-old debutant Antonin Kinsky starred in between the sticks. And 18-year-old Archie Gray was a rock in central defence.
