SEASON SO FAR

It’s been a rollercoaster season so far for Spurs.  Ange Postecoglou’s side looked superb in a 4-0 road win over champions Manchester City in November, immediately after they’d suffered the ignominy of a 2-1 home defeat to Ipswich Town.  But December saw a string of defeats for Spurs, before they bounced back in the new year with a morale-boosting 1-0 home win over Liverpool in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.  Heading towards mid-January, Tottenham are twelfth in the Premier League table on 24 points.

Coming up at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs will be looking to take maximum points from their Premier League match against Leicester City on Sunday 26 January.   Then attention turns to Europe with the visit of Elfsborg on Thursday 30 January.  Into February it’s back to league action and for a Manchester double-take.  Man Utd come calling on Sunday 15 February, followed by a showdown against Man City on Tuesday 25 February.  Can the hosts make it a quadruple of wins on home soil to further their advancement on the domestic and European scene?  All roads lead to N17 to find out!

ONES TO WATCH

A youthful Spurs side proved too hot too handle for Liverpool in their recent League Cup semi-final meeting.  18-year-old Lucas Bergvall scored the winner for Tottenham, while 21-year-old debutant Antonin Kinsky starred in between the sticks.  And 18-year-old Archie Gray was a rock in central defence.
