SEASON SO FAR
West Ham were left deflated after losing 5-2 to London rivals Crystal Palace in the Premier League last time out. The Hammers are eighth in the table.
David Moyes’ side entered this game, hoping to bounce back from their Europe League exit against Bayer Leverkusen. Unfortunately, Michael Olise, Ebere Eze and an own goal saw West Ham go 3-0 down within just twenty minutes of action in south London. To rub salt in the wounds, Jean Philippe-Mateta scored Palace’s fourth before Hammers talisman Michail Antonio netted a consolation goal.
Mateta made it 5-1 by the 60th minute before West Ham reduced the arrears to 5-2. The Eagles continued to create a host of chances, and on a different day, the scoreline could’ve been even more embarrassing.
Up next, West Ham host Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday 27 April. The Hammers will be hoping to dent the Reds’ title dreams – expect a cagey affair in East London!

Two stations – Stratford and Stratford International – within a 10/15-minute walk of London Stadium. Stratford is on the Central & Jubilee lines, Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and London Overground. Also National Rail services operated by Greater Anglia and C2C. Stratford International station is accessible via Docklands Light Railway and Southeastern High Speed 1 services. Hackney Wick station, on the London Overground, is approximately a 15-minute walk. By bus the 388, 339 and D9 services stop close to the stadium.
