Peugeot International Speedway Championship

It’s a Sunday afternoon with a bit of a difference at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium this week as Glasgow Tigers take a break from Premier League action to host the inaugural Peugeot International Speedway Championship.

Some of the best riders from across the UK and the globe will descend upon Glasgow to battle it out for a share of the £10,000 prize fund.  The field of 16 riders is certainly not short of talent with the Tigers having representatives in the form of current team captain Aaron Summers and up-and-coming youngster James Sarjeant as well as plenty of riders from other teams including the highly skilled and very popular Craig Cook and Edinburgh Monarch talisman Sam Masters.

The day will consist of 22 races – 20 qualifying, a semi-final between 3rd to 6th place then, of course, the final contested between 1st, 2nd and the two semi-final winners.

Tapes up at 3pm.
