It’s Game Day 4 of the new SWPL campaign and a meeting this afternoon of Edinburgh rivals who have experienced very different starts to the season.
Hibernian are top of the table with a hat-trick of league wins so far having scored 12 goals and conceded only two. Meanwhile newly promoted Hearts lost narrowly on the opening day of the season to Aberdeen before drawing with Inverness City, but came unstuck in their last outing suffering a 7-1 defeat at the hands of Celtic. The home team will be keen to make amends today, but to do so they’ll most likely have to find a way of preventing the league’s top scorer, Hibernian’s Abigail Harrison with 5 goals in 3 games so far, from getting on the score sheet.
