Women’s National League Division 1. A triple-header of fixtures to enjoy this afternoon at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre.
First up at 1.30pm it’s Hillhead Ladies’ 1s v Watsonians Ladies’ 1s and Hillhead will be desperate to put their 6-1 drubbing at the hands of Groves Menzieshill last Sunday behind them. A tight match in prospect against a Watsonians team just two points and two places above them in the league and also coming off the back of a defeat.
Then at 3.00pm GHK Ladies take on Dundee Wanderers. Dundee may be in fourth place to GHK’s seventh but there’s not much to chose between these teams and it’s GHK who may be the more confident having beaten Watsonians last weekend as Dundee were getting hammered 4-0 at home to Milne Craig Clydesdale Western.
Last but not least at 4.30pm Kelburne v Western Wildcats. Kelburne are enduring a torrid run of form that sees them languishing at the foot of the table with just one win out of seven matches. However a visit from a mid-table Wildcats team, who more recently were beaten at home by GHK, is a game Kelburne really must take points from if they are serious about moving up the table.
