The Glasgow National Hockey Centre is the place to be this evening for international hockey and the first game of a 3-match series between the Scotland and Wales Women’s teams.
Scotland go into the match as favourites by virtue of their world ranking No. 17 that compares favourably to a Wales team currently ranked No. 34 on the global scene. The series is the start of a long road to the Gold Coast and the 2018 Commonwealth Games, with players on both sides looking to impress and secure their places in the squad.
The match starts at 5pm and it’s free entry to all spectators. The remaining matches of the series take place on Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 11am.
