It’s Race Week 2 of Racing League at Lingfield Park and with the stakes getting higher Team London & The South will be looking to fire on all cylinders in front of a home crowd!
A team competition with a difference the Racing League is a competition between 7 regional teams who are competing over 6 Thursday evenings around the country this summer. Only one team will be victorious.
Each Thursday evening the teams are going head-to-head and in a battle for valuable points to boost them up the league table. The team with the highest number of points after the final race night (at Newcastle on 15 September) will become the 2022 Racing League Champions.
The 2022 teams are:- Ireland ~ Scotland ~ Yorkshire ~ The North ~ The East ~ Wales & The West ~ London & The South.
London & The South are managed by Matt Chapman a presenter for ITV Racing and Sky Sports and journalist for Sun Racing. Racing in maroon colors their jockey line-up includes standout talents such as Nicola Currie and Sean Levey.
Other ‘ones to watch’ include the one and only Frankie Dettori – one of the most famous jockeys of all-time – who rides for Wales & The West.
Hayley Turner OBE, the trailblazing female jockey of her generation, part of The East team.
David Egan, the champion apprentice of 2017 with more than 440 career wins, who like Dettori rides for Wales & The West.
Whether you’re looking for some lively summer evening entertainment after work, or a fun day out with the family, Racing League offers something for all alongside it’s seven high-octane races. Enjoy an electric atmosphere and festival vibe at Racing League’s Southern meeting with music and food throughout the day and into the night keeping the kids entertained with a host of activities.

First race at 5.10pm.
Last race at 8.10pm.
Travel tips: Lingfield Park is a five minute walk from Lingfield train station, which is a 45 minute journey on a direct train from London Victoria. For train times visit www.nationalrail.co.uk. If travelling by car the course is 15 minutes from the M25 (J6) or M23 (J10). For sat nav use postcode RH7 6PQ.
