2025 PREVIEW

They’re under starter’s orders for Racing League at Royal Windsor Racecourse and the fourth leg of the six-night series.  Read on for a preview and the latest ticket information.

Race Week 4 of the Racing League at Royal Windsor Racecourse tonight could be pivotal.  Team London & The South will be looking to fire on all cylinders in front of a home riverside crowd!

THE RACING LEAGUE FORMAT

A team competition with a difference the Racing League is a competition between 7 regional teams.  They compete over 42 races across 6 meetings with over £2 million in prize money up for grabs.

On consecutive Thursday evenings, starting on 24 July at Great Yarmouth, the teams go head-to-head at a different racecourse in a battle for valuable points to boost them up the league table.  The team with the highest number of points after the final race night (at Southwell on 28 August) will be crowned this year’s Racing League Champions.  Wales & The West – led by team manager Jamie Osbourne – are the defending champions (highlights from last year’s finale below).

THE TEAMS

The 2025 teams are:- Ireland ~ Scotland ~ Yorkshire ~ The North ~ The East ~ Wales & The West ~ London & The South.

London & The South are managed by ITV Racing and Sky Sports presenter Matt Chapman.  Racing in maroon colors their jockey line-up includes some standout talents such as Richard Kingscote, Nicola Curry and Sean Levey.

Other ‘ones to watch’ include Saffie Osbourne and Sean Bown who ride for defending champions Wales & The West.  Kieran Shoemark will ride for last year’s runners-up The East, while Ireland – under new team manager Mick Fitzgerald – have Cieren Fallon and Danny Tudhope in their line-up.

Whether you’re looking for some lively summer evening entertainment after work, or a fun day out with the family, Racing League offers something for all alongside it’s seven high-octane races.  Enjoy an electric atmosphere and festival vibe at Racing League’s Windsor meeting.  Music and food will be available throughout the meeting with a host of other activities taking place. 

The Windsor track is located next to the River Thames and in the shadow of Windsor Castle.  It’s set in 165 acres of stunning Berkshire countryside – a perfect venue for a trip to the races.

🚊🚗 Travel tips: The racecourse sits on its own island, banking the River Thames and the Clewer Mill Stream backwater passage.  The course is 1.5 miles from Windsor town centre and 25 miles from London.  The nearest stations are Windsor & Eton Central (with direct trains to Slough) and Windsor & Eton Riverside.  Both have direct trains to London Waterloo, with a journey time of around 55 minutes.  Taxis are available at both stations.  From Barry Avenue Promenade (opposite Browns Restaurant) near the town centre and railway station, you can hop on a riverboat which will ferry you to the racecourse in style, journey time 10 minutes.  Car parking is available at the racecourse which is well signposted from junction 6 of the M4 and junction 3 of the M3.  If using a sat-nav use the postcode SL4 5EZ.
