They’re under starters orders at Musselburgh Racecourse for the Bet365 Scottish Cheltenham Trials Weekend. Gates open for Day 1 of the action at 11am and tickets are available (an early bird discount applies for advance bookings).
With anticipation building ahead of the famous Cheltenham Festival in March, Musselburgh Racecourse is the perfect place to be this weekend for the hotly-anticipated Scottish Cheltenham Trials.
A quality seven-race card includes the feature race of the day at 3.15pm, the BET365 Edinburgh National Handicap Chase. A Class 2 race for horses aged 5 years and older the 17 horses will race over a stamina-sapping four miles with a price pot of over £25,000 at stake. Our horse to keep an eye out for is No.1 Delusionofgrandeur, the top weight, a winner at Ayr last April over three miles and many people’s fancy to take the spoils this afternoon.
Gates open at 11am, with the first race at 12.55pm and last race at 4.20pm.
Tickets in advance are available to book online via the ‘Get Tickets’ link. Purchase your adult admission ticket in advance of the raceday (by midnight the day before) and save £5 per adult (full price adult ticket £30).
Tickets on the day are available online until 1 hour before gates open, and also at the gate priced: Adults £30/£15 Concessions = Over 60s and Students, ID required/U18s free.
