Riverside Park in Jedburgh is the venue for this afternoon’s Jed-Forest 7s, the finale of the 2017 King of the Sevens series. First tie is at 1.30pm and admission is on the gate.
With the Melrose Sevens, Hawick 7s, Berwick 7s and Peebles 7s among the tournaments that have taken place so far, it’s Watsonians who currently top the King of the Sevens table followed by Melrose on 47 points with Gala in third place on 40 and today’s hosts on 37 points.
While Watsonians cannot be caught with just one tournament to go the battle is on for second place, and it’s sure to be a fierce contest to seal a win in the final King of the Sevens tournament of 2017.
Today’s Jed-Forest 7s tournament will follow the traditional straight knockout format featuring 16 teams in the first round. The draw is as follows:-
