The 2016 Legacy 7s Series continues at Kirkcaldy Rugby Club this afternoon with the third leg of the series, the Kirkcaldy 7s.
Today’s action is the third of six Legacy 7s tournaments spread over April culminating on 14th May with the Glasgow City 7s when the overall series winner will be decided.
Teams have come from all over Scotland to take part in the Kirkcaldy 7s at what promises to be a great afternoon of rugby sevens for players and spectators alike. Matches start from 1pm with the qualifying stages of three tournaments taking place during the afternoon The Senior mens’ teams will compete for the Heggie Cup on Pitch 1, while on Pitch 2 there’s a Ladies and Under 18s men’s tournament.
At around 5.45pm all eyes will turn to Pitch 1 for the finals. The U18’s Final is first up followed by the Ladies Final. The Plate Final is the penultimate match of the day before the Heggie Cup Final concludes the rugby at around 6.45pm.

A BBQ and beer is available throughout the afternoon to accompany a quality line-up of rugby sevens action. And following the finals presentations a disco will take place in the clubhouse to bring the day to a suitably upbeat end!
