Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell Racenight

It’s the final Super Six event of the year at Hamilton Park, where first class racing and entertainment come together for the ultimate event experience.

Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell Racenight with GBX anthems features a quality card of 6 horse races, and is preceded by a special mascot race with footy character Kingsley (from Partick Thistle) joining Hamilton Park Racecourse’s own mascot, The Duke, for a race over 1/2 furlong.  The pair will join mascots from nine Premiership clubs, and Rangers and Raith Rovers from the Championship, for the event that will kick off the historic evening of racing ahead.

The feature race at 7.30pm, the Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell Handicap  (CLASS 3) a race over 1 mile 4 furlongs for 3+ year-old horses, is set to the highlight of the racing action.  With a prize fund of £26,000 at stake, a field of 15 due to go to post and some of the UK’s top trainers having entered horses in pursuit of the trophy, a memorable race is in store.  The race’s trophy is believed to be the oldest sporting trophy in existence, having being gifted to the people of Lanark by King William ‘The Lion’ in 1165.

The conclusion of the last race of the night is the cue for the after party to get underway, with a set by legendary DJ George Bowie who will be playing some energy filled GBX anthems.

Gates open 3pm.  First race at 5.20pm, last race at 8.05pm.
