Scottish Super Series. Pairs Finals

Day 1 of the Scottish Super Series Finals Pairs competition taking place this weekend on the Kelvingrove greens that hosted lawn bowls at Glasgow 2014.

The Scottish Super Series is Bowls Scotland’s sole Tier 1 event, carrying more ranking points than any other event in Scotland, together with a prize fund of £23,800.

Qualifiers have been played throughout Scotland across 8 regions to decide who will contest the finals this weekend at Kelvingrove Lawn Bowls Centre.  With past winners including club bowlers as well as some of Scotland’s top players, the Super Series provides an opportunity for anyone to challenge for victory.

Promising some blockbuster matches which will see local heroes, world champions and up and coming stars in action, the Super Series is the “Grand Prix” of bowls competitions in 2016.

Today’s action features the early rounds and quarter-finals in both the men’s and women’s competitions.

Matches start at 10.30am.

Full draw + timings for the Gents Pairs and Ladies Pairs competitions.

Admission is on the day.  Free entry for all spectators.

Play continues tomorrow with the semi-finals and finals.
