🏆 A winter treat for squash fans Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club is the place to be for the London Open Squash Championships this November. Read on for a preview and how to watch the action live.
A total prize fund of $30,000 is up for grabs as all squash roads lead to NW6 for the 2025 London Open Squash Championship. London Open Squash tickets are on sale.
Taking place from Wednesday 19 to Sunday 23 November the tournament celebrates its 19th edition this year. Tournament director Zubair Jahan Khan is once again organising the event which has become a fixture on the squash calendar since 2007.
Fans also have to the chance to meet the legendary 10-time British Open champion and 6-time world champion Jahangir Khan . Khan will be in attendance at the Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club in north London on Sunday 23 November (Finals Day) when he will take part in a Q&A at 2.30pm.
Players from around the world are set to take part in the five-day tournament. This year the men’s prize money is $15,000 and the women’s prize money is $15,000. The current champions are Nardine Garas and Declan James who won the London Squash Open Championship 2024 women’s and men’s title respectively. For Garas the victory marked her fourth PSA title of the year, meanwhile for James his win clocked up an impressive 17th PSA title.
Nardine Garas returns this year as number one seed to defend her women’s title. Australia’s Jessica van der Walt is the number two seed. England’s Nick Wall is the top seed in the men’s draw, with fellow countryman George Parker the number two seed.

🚊🚗 Travel tips: The closest railway station is Alexandra Palace overground at the Wood Green entrance to the park. It’s on the Great Northern line and trains run direct from Moorgate, via Old Street, Highbury & Islington and Finsbury Park. Or take a train from Kings Cross, changing at Finsbury Park. The nearest tube station is Wood Green on the Piccadilly line, a journey time of 20 minutes from Piccadilly Circus. Exit the station and go to bus stop A to pick the up the W3 bus to Alexandra Palace. Use the Transport for London website to plan your journey.
