London Roller Derby are back at Tottenham Green Leisure Centre with their popular Take On Me tournament. Tickets are on sale here.
The waiting is over for the latest instalment of roller derby in north London. Fast-paced action is guaranteed with London Roller Derby tickets on sale now for Take On Me where four teams join London Brawling, the London Roller Derby A team, in a mini-tournament.
It was back in July when roller derby (intro to the sport below if you’re not familiar with this spectator gem!) last took centre stage at Tottenham Green Leisure Centre courtesy of the Five Nations WFTDA Tier 3 series.
Now attention turns to the 2023 edition of Take On Me, London Roller Derby’s fundraiser tournament. The fast-paced tournament will feature four teams who each take on Brawling in a series of chaotic mini-rounds.
As always, there’s a twist: skaters, officials and audience members will be able to donate money to purchase ‘twists’ to rig the game. Hijinks WILL ensue.
Want to get your jammer out of the penalty box? Go for it. Want your favourite blocker to don the star for the next jam? Sure. Want to finally watch a clockwise jam? Why the hell not? YOU control the game, with all donations going towards the running of London Roller Derby, including offsetting member travel costs and making their Fundamentals Programme more accessible.

Introducing Roller Derby
Think rugby on skates; sort of! Roller derby is a full-contact sport played on roller skates by two teams of five (four defensive players and one attacking one known as the jammer). The game typically takes place indoors on an oval track. The jammer on each side is the points scorer for their team and has to attempt to pass through the opposition pack (defensive players) to then score points. Fast and furious and full of adrenaline the sport is great to watch. For more info check out this London Roller Derby guide.
