The Glasgow Roller Derby Maiden Grrders meet the Dundee Roller Girls Silvery Tayzers and it’s the Maidens who will be favourites to continue a winning streak over the Tayzers stretching back over three years, most recently last year’s fixture that ended 180-77 in the Maidens favour. A more recent form guide is both teams have recently taken on the Furness Firecrackers and while each took home a win it was the Maidens who secured a higher score and differential (ending with a 50 point lead) than the Dundee side who finished with a tight score of 178 – 157.
Each side has some top skaters in their ranks who will be representing Home Nations in the Blood & Thunder Roller Derby World Cup to be held in Dallas this December. For the Maidens look out for Fever, Suffra Jett and Jess E Ska who are on the Team Scotland and Team Ireland Roller Derby rosters. Likewise the Silvery Tayzers have Milky on the final roster for Team Scotland and JillAntonic representing the Scottish team as their official team manager, as well as InSanne representing Team Netherlands.
