The Netball Premier League (NPL) season continues tonight with two matches at the Emirates Arena. The league, made up of the Glasgow and Lanarkshire Districts, features competitive netball at its highest level for club teams in Scotland.
At 7.10pm Harmony Row 1 take on Bellahouston 2 with the pressure very much on the latter team. Harmony Row 1 are safe in fifth place but Bellahouston 2 are just just four points ahead of Scotstoun 2s who are currently bottom and favourites for relegation. Tonight’s match is Bellahouston’s game in hand and if they can take maximum points they’ll put some breathing space between themselves and Scotstoun 2s. But lose and the match between the two sides on 23rd March could well decide who is relegated from the NPL this season.
At 8.40pm it’s Bellahouston 1 v Scotstoun 1s and a showdown between the two sides aiming to finish third in the NPL at the end of the season. After 16 matches there’s just 1 point to split the two teams with Bellahouston having the slimmest of advantages. Bellahouston 1 come into the match buoyed by last week’s 52-51 victory over GSS1 that all but ended GSS’s title ambitions and was revenge for the 47-46 GSS1 had inflicted on them earlier in the season. .
Matches starts tonight in the Netball Premier League at 7.10pm.
Admission is on the night only: free entry all spectators.
