Golf. The Road Hole. Old Course, St Andrews.

Open Championships

Day 2 of the 2015 Open Championships at the Old Course, St Andrews.

Golf’s most prestigious tournament returns to the course known as the ‘Home of Golf’ for the first time since 2010.  A stellar cast of the world’s best players are ready to compete for the famous Claret Jug at what is the 29th time St Andrews has hosted the famous tournament.

USA’s Jordan Speith, the current Masters and US Open, is favourite to win what would be a third major tournament in a row, however the likes of Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Ricky Fowler and Britain’s Ryder Cup stars including Justin Rose will have other ideas.  They’ll be joined by a true legend of the game, Tom Watson – a five-time winner of the tournament – as he makes his last ever appearance along with past champions from Scotland, Paul Lawrie and Sandy Lyle who won the tournament in 1999 and 1985 respectively.  Look out too for Stephen Gallacher, Marc Warren, Richie Ramsay and Russell Knox who complete the Scottish contingent in action.

It’s a 6.32am start this morning for the first players out, with Scotland’s Richie Ramsay and Marc Warren among the early starters at 7.05am and 7.38pm.  The action continues all day with Jordan Speith and Dustin Johnson due to commence their round just after 2.30pm, before the final players tee-off shortly after 4pm.

This is the full list of the players taking part, along with today’s tee times.

Tickets in advance are available online via the ‘Get Tickets’ link.
