The waiting is over for soapbox race aficionados as the Red Bull Soapbox Race returns to UK shores for the first time since 2022. On that occasion Go Go Gadget Soapbox reigned supreme seeing off over 65 other teams to take the cherished title. Will they be back for mission ‘back-to-back’? Or will a different crazy creation take the 2024 honours? Welcome to the pinnacle of non-motor racing!
This year 60 teams are set to be take part in the legendary race guaranteed to set hearts pounding and spectator cheers roaring. They will be judged on creativity, speed and showmanship as they navigate the downhill course outside Alexandra Palace with only gravity on their side.
A spectacular and brilliantly bonkers day out the racers have a need for speed and an urge to stand out from the crowd. Spectators can expect to witness a wackily-wheeled world of crazy creativity, where teams of amateur drivers pool their creative talents to define the rules of street racing, and create their own homemade Soapbox car to race on the main stage.

The first Red Bull Soapbox Race was held in 2000 in Belgium. 100 events now take place globally. This year’s race in London promises to become one of the most talked about events of the summer. If you want to imbibe a brilliantly bonkers race like no other secure your tickets now!

🚊🚗 Travel tips: The nearest railway station is Alexandra Palace. This is located at the Wood Green entrance to the park. A regular service runs direct from Moorgate. The nearest tube station is Wood Green on the Piccadilly line, while the W3 bus runs from Finsbury Park and Tottenham. There are 1,200 parking spaces in the grounds which are free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Plan your journey at the Transport for London website.
