🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️ Three days of memorable rowing action awaits as the Henley Women’s Regatta returns for 2024 on an iconic stretch of the River Thames.   

Taking place from Friday 21 June to Sunday 23 June this year’s Henley Women’s Regatta is set to feature over 1,500 rowers travelling from all over the UK and across the globe to compete in the world’s premier international rowing regatta for women.

The regatta offers exciting side-by-side match racing for a wide range of competitors, from juniors to university and club to international level.  Spectators are welcome to watch and enjoy the racing along the full length of the course – no tickets required!

The Spectator Zone, accessed from the towpath or from the car park at Gate A, is the hub of the regatta (see below for the 2023 map).  Free to enter it has an and has an array of facilities including a great selection of teas, coffee, cakes, sandwiches and hot food.  Picnic tables are available for the patrons of the food outlets

In 2023 Henley Women’s Regatta was delighted to have the support of a number of great retail outlets featuring a superb range of branded rowing merchandise, rowing equipment and premium clothing as well as gifts and mementos of the day.  The official shop features HWR Blazers and branded clothing and performance wear, as well as unique gifts and a range of beautiful jewellery designed especially for HWR.

LAUNCH TICKETS

Launch Tickets costing £6 are expected to be available when the crew names are published on the race schedule.  They may be purchased at booking points at least 45 minutes before race time.  These are located in the Spectator Zone, the Chairman’s Enclosure and the Start.  Ticket holders must check in at the Launch Start 30 minutes before the race start time.  Silence must be observed whilst following races.

Henley Women’s Regatta welcomes visitors with disabilities and has a Disabled Access Policy to ensure disabled competitors and visitors can access and enjoy HWR races.

Spectators can also access the footpath along the river and watch the racing from any point along the course.

SPECTATING, TIMINGS & TRAVEL

🕑 Racing starts daily at around 8.30am and continues throughout the day.

🚊 🚗 Travel tips: Henley Women’s Regatta takes place on the River Thames in the town of Henley-on-Thames.  The spectating enclosure is located on the Berkshire bank, within easy walking distance of Henley town and Henley-on-Thames railway station.  The station is a branch line linking Henley and Twyford on the GWR line, both with services from London Paddington.  Plan your journey using the Transport for London website.  Henley-on-Thames is located 13 miles from Junction 8/9 on the M4, and 16 miles from Junction 4 on the M40.  All cars and trailers should park in the official parking areas.  These are located in the Spectator Zone and accessed via Gate A.  See the guidance here on the regatta website for more info.
