European Champions Cup Final

European Champions Cup Final. Saracens v Clermont Auvergne

A stellar 24 hours of European rugby at BT Murrayfield continues this evening with the European Champions Cup Final between Saracens and Clermont Auvergne.  Kick-off is at 5pm and tickets are available.

The European Rugby Champions Cup Final weekend is a treat for Scottish rugby fans with not one, but two showpiece finals taking place at BT Murrayfield.  The double-header got underway last night with Gloucester v Stade Français night in the European Challenge Cup and continues tonight with the biggest club prize in world rugby at stake, the European Champions Cup.

When the whistle at 5pm goes two formidable teams packed with world-class international stars are ready to face-off.  Saracens boast no fewer than six players in the British & Irish Lions squad heading to New Zealand in the summer – Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje, George Kruis, Billy and Mako Vunipola and Jamie George – plus an array of other internationals, from Chris Ashton and Brad Barritt to Scotland favourites Sean Maitland, Duncan Taylor, Jim Hamilton and Kelly Brown (who, if selected, will be playing his last match as a professional player in the stadium where he led Scotland so many times).

The French opposition in tonight’s European Champions Cup Final cannot be taken lightly.  The Clermont Auvergne team is equally studded with French internationals, including the half-back pairing of Morgan Parra and Camille Lopez, full back Scott Spedding, centre Aurelian Rougerie and captain Damian Chouly.

Kick-off for the European Champions Cup Final is at 5pm.

Tickets in advance are available via the ‘Get Tickets link.
