The waiting is over for the Rugby League World Cup 2021 after it was postponed last year due to Covid-19.  History will be made as for the first time the men’s, women’s and wheelchair tournaments take place within one tournament.  61 matches will be played at venues across England between Saturday 15 October and Saturday 19 November 2021.  Rugby League World Cup matches in London take place between Thursday 3 and Sunday 12 November.

Matches in the capital take place at the Emirates Stadium and Copper Box Arena which host a men’s semi-final and the Group A wheelchair matches (England’s group) respectively.

ENGLAND VS SAMAO – MEN’S SEMI-FINAL AT EMIRATES STADIUM ON SATURDAY 12 NOVEMBER AT 2.30PM

England made a stunning start in the men’s tournament beating Samoa 60-6 in their opening World Cup match, followed by a 42-18 victory over France and a 94-4 demolition of Greece.  Three wins from three saw England move into the quarter-finals as group winners to face Papua New Guinea who were duly thrashed 46-6 with Tommy Makinson becoming the first player to score five tries in a Test match for England.  Makinson, along with fellow wing Dom Young, have been superb for England so far.

Next up for England a place in the second semi-final taking place at Emirates Stadium this Saturday 12 November at 2.30pm.  Standing in between England and a place in the final are Samao who beat Tonga 20-18 in a bruising quarter-final encounter.  Limited tickets are still available here for the semi-final in north London starting from £30 Adults/£15 Concessions (Children/Students).

Stand by for nations to collide, legends to be made and champions to be crowned as the Rugby League World Cup returns to these shores for the first time since 2013 when England, Wales, France and Ireland combined to host the tournament.
