Boroughmuir Rugby v Stirling County

A crunch match for Boroughmuir Rugby at Meggetland Sports Complex who entertain Stirling County in the BT Premiership this afternoon.  Kick-off is at the earlier time of 12.30pm with admission on the gate.

These are challenging times at Meggetland with Boroughmuir Rugby in desperate need of a home win today, if they are not to be cut adrift towards the bottom of the Premiership and in danger of relegation.  Last weekend’s road defeat to fellow strugglers Hawick means Boroughmuir have it all to do if they are to escape the relegation play-off spot they currently find themselves in, although they did at least score a losing bonus point which could be crucial come the end of the season.

With 22 points from 14 games Boroughmuir Rugby are currently seven points behind Hawick and eight points behind both Glasgow Hawks and today’s visitors Stirling County.  So it’s all set for a tense 80 minutes of Premiership action to launch a big weekend of Six Nations rugby.

Head-to-head: The sides last met back in late September for the corresponding fixture at Bridgehaugh Park.  The result a 36-14 win in favour of Stirling County.

Kick-off today is at the earlier time of 12.30pm.

Admission at Boroughmuir Rugby is via the gate is priced at: Adults £12 ~ Concessions £6 = Over 65s and Students ~ Under 18’s go free.
