CONGRATULATIONS to world champions South Africa who beat England 27-13 in the concluding match of the 2022 Autumn Internationals series, after England had lost 29-30 to Argentina, beat Japan 52-13 and drawn 25-25 with New Zealand in the three preceding matches.  Stay tuned here for news of the 2023 England Autumn Internationals as soon as published.  And in the meantime … 👇

2022 SERIES PREVIEW

After a memorable summer tour to Australia where England secured a series win over the Wallabies, attention has turned to the England Autumn Internationals with a heavyweight line-up of international teams visiting Twickenham.

England produced some great rugby over the summer on their trip Down Under.  Eddie Jones’ men securing only their second-ever Series win beating Australia 21-17 in Sydney in the deciding Test match.

Over four consecutive weekends, England have faced another test of their progress with Argentina the visitors for the opening England Autumn Internationals match on Sunday 6 November (update: final score England 29-30 Argentina) followed six days later by a match against Japan (update: final score England 51-13 Japan). Both games had an extra edge as England, Argentina and Japan have been drawn together in Group D at next year’s Rugby World Cup in France.

On Saturday 19 November New Zealand visited Twickenham (update: final score England 25-25 New Zealand).  The All Blacks still reeling from a home series defeat to Ireland in the summer when they lost back-to-back home Test matches for the first time since 1998.  Last but not least this Saturday 26 November England will square up for what is sure to be a bruising showdown with current world champions South Africa.

Can England get some morale-boosting wins under their belts as the road to the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France continues?  All will be revealed at Twickenham Stadium this month at the England Autumn Internationals.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The England match day squad for the England Autumn Internationals match vs South Africa has been named by Eddie Jones.  England last faced South Africa in a closely contested 27-26 win in November 2021.

🚊🚗 Travel tips: Public transport is recommended.  Twickenham, Whitton and St Margaret’s overground stations (all accessible via London Waterloo and Clapham Junction) are approximately a 10 minute walk from the stadium.  Plan your journey using the Transport for London website.  Parking is very limited as the stadium is in a controlled parking zone.  Stadium parking can be purchased at the same time as purchasing matchday tickets, subject to availability.
