Goldenacre is the venue for the second leg of an Scottish/Italian double-header between Heriot’s and Emerging Italy. Kick-off 2.15pm with admission on the gate.
The Italian-Scottish Challenge is a tie focused on increasing the international experience of players from both countries, with defending BT Premiership champions Heriot’s going head-to-head with Italy Emerging, a team made up of players from National Championship, Eccellenza, Italy’s domestic competition.
The inaugural match took place last Friday 11th November at the Stadio “Lamarmora” in Biella and it was the Italians who seized the initiative wining an entertaining match by 50 points to 33. However Heriots recovered well from finding themselves 19-0 down early on in the match, which bodes well for this afternoon’s return leg.
It promises to be a memorable afternoon of rugby at Goldenacre, which will also be showing the Scotland v Argentina on the big screen in the clubhouse from 5pm. What’s not to like?!
