BT Cup, third round. A break from league action for Hawick RFC and Melrose as they meet at Mansfield Park to decide who will go through to the last eight and a tie away at Currie.
Back in August on the first day of the new Premiership season it was Melrose who took the spoils 31-15 at Mansfield Park while Hawick got their revenge in the return fixture winning 16-6 in Melrose in November. The two teams are very well-matched and the game has an extra edge with Hawick RFC trying to overhaul Melrose in the league (with just two games left to play) in the race for a top four finish and a place in the end of season play-offs.
There’s all to play for in what could be a cup classic this afternoon!
