🏉 The rugby union domestic season reaches a climax this afternoon with the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final between Leicester Tigers and Saracens at Twickenham Stadium.
NEWSFLASH: CONGRATULATIONS to Leicester Tigers who overcame Saracens 15-12 in the 2022 Premiership Rugby Final, becoming the champions of England for the first time since 2013. Freddie Burns’ dramatic drop goal, in the final minute of play, secured the silverware for the Tigers who were deserving winners on the day and fitting champions overall having topped the table from the opening weekend to Round 26 of the regular season. 13 sides have contested the Premiership season which started back in September 2021. Harlequins are the defending champions after their stunning 40-38 Premiership final victory over Exeter Chiefs in June 2021, hailed as the best ever. And now it’s time for the 2022 Premiership Rugby Final …
After 26 rounds of matches of the regular season, followed by two semi-finals, it all comes down to one final game at Twickenham decide the 2021/2022 champions.
Four teams remained ahead of the semi-finals last weekend and it was Leicester Tigers and Saracens who came through to contest today’s final. The Tigers beating Northampton Saints 27-14 led by an inspired performance from George Ford, while a Ben Earl hat-trick saw Saracens come from behind to claim a 34-17 win over London rivals Harlequins in a feisty encounter.

World-class rugby stars will be on display and with 80,000 fans being welcome back to the final for the first time since 2019, stand by for an electric atmosphere to round off the domestic season.

🚊🚗 Travel tips: Public transport is recommended. Three train stations (Twickenham, Whitton and St Margaret’s) are all only a 10 minute walk from the stadium.
