South Africa v Japan is the first rugby union match to be played at Wembley Stadium since 2016. A capacity crowd is expected as rugby not football takes centre stage at under the famous arch in north London on Saturday 1 November. South Africa v Japan at Wembley Stadium tickets are on sale now.
The eagerly anticipated match marks the start of South Africaâs autumn tour of Europe. The two teams have been keen rivals ever since Japanâs historic 34-32 victory over South Africa in the 2015 Rugby World Cup. A match known as the ‘Miracle of Brighton’. Since then, South Africa has won the subsequent meetings, including a quarter-final clash in the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
For reigning world champions South Africa the match is important preparation for a European tour that includes fixtures against top northern hemisphere teams, including England. Japan, led by coach Eddie Jones, have their sights set on a win to improve their No.13 world ranking. Â
Stand by for fast-paced, attacking rugby from Japan against the physical but skilful Springboks in one of sportâs most iconic settings.
