The 2022 showdown followed on from the 2017 final at the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast. New Zealand against had the upper hand, ending England’s reign as world champions. The Black Ferns ran in seven tries in a 41-32 victory becoming five-time world champions.
Fast forward to 2024, the tenth edition of the tournament will feature 16 sides. England and New Zealand are joined by Australia, Brazil, Canada, Fiji, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Scotland, South Africa, United States and Wales. Two more qualifying spots remain.
