Scottish Drift Championship

Scottish Drift Championship

The final round of the Scottish Drift Championship promises motorsport fireworks at Knockhill Racing Circuit today.  Gates open at 1.30pm and tickets are available with a discount for advance purchases.

From dusk till dawn competitors will battle at high-speed door handle to door handle sideways!  There will be all the fun and excitement of a Guy Fawkes event and is sure to be memorable.  The cars will be geared up duelling at night under flood lights and of course, a Bonfire.

All of the event takes place around the hairpin section of the track with spectator viewing around that area, so you will see 100% of the track action.  Drifting is a form of motorsport that started in Japan and was featured in the Fast and Furious movies.  Competition cars will “battle” side by side against each other as they drift sideways at high speeds with a panel of judges marking their drivers skill, speed, car control and angle of drifting.

Gates will open to the public at 1.30pm with the track action kicking into life at 2.30pm.  The drifting will run into to the evening with the Fireworks show commencing at 6.30pm just before the Scottish Drifting Championship takes to the track one last time, to find out who is the 2017 SDC Champion!  The final run will take place at 7pm.
