Stand by for the biggest race night of the year at Shawfield Stadium as it hosts the 2017 Racing Post Scottish Greyhound Derby. Action from 7.30pm with the big race at 9.15pm, admission is on the gate.
The last few weeks have seen qualifying rounds and semi-finals whittle down the entrants leaving just 6 dogs now remaining with a chance of winning the biggest greyhound race held annually in Scotland.
The big race is at 9.15pm, the RPGTV Scottish Greyhound Derby Final, with 6 lightning greyhounds ready to take on the 480m course. Only one can cross the finishing line first to scoop the trophy for their owner and trainer, not to mention the first prize of £20,000. The card (see left) has the full details of all 6 runners.
Alongside the feature race there are plenty of other races to also enjoy, check out the advanced race card for a detailed rundown of tonight’s action. There will also be live entertainment once all the races have taken place with bar open until 1am. It’s sure to be a terrific final night of derby action, and one not to be missed!
