Bute v Caberfeidh

After a string of cup matches Bute return to Marine Harvest National Division action, aiming to secure their first league win of the campaign against Caberfeidh.

Bute have had an up and down start to the new shinty season, securing two draws against a loss in their opening league matches back in March, before a run of 5 cup matches that resulted in 2 wins and 3 losses.  The team from the Isle of Bute will be keen to put their latest match, a 7-0 defeat to Beauly in the Camanachd Cup, behind them by taking maximum points this afternoon which would close the gap on themselves and the teams above them.  Currently Bute are in sixth place on 2 points, with today’s opponents Caberfeidh (having played a game more) one place above Bute on 5 points and leaders Glasgow Mid Argyll on 8 points.

Throw up this afternoon is at 2.30pm.

Admission is free.  A collection is held during the match which contributes to the running of the club.

Spectator info: The clubhouse bar will be open after the match where spectators and players can enjoy a post-match drink.
