SGB Championship. Expect the claws to be out this afternoon as Glasgow Tigers welcome Peterborough Panthers to the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium. Tapes-up is at 3pm, tickets are available.
Glasgow Tigers complete a hat-trick of fixtures over the last three days that will determine if they finish in the top four and thus secure a place in the end of season play-offs.
Glasgow have been hit by injuries of late – losing Nike Lunna, Tom Perry and Dan Bewley to the treatment table – something which has cranked up the pressure as they seek a top-four finish. However going into the weekend star rider Richard Lawson remained in buoyant mood that the Tigers can the season on a high. And depending on results went against Edinburgh Monarchs and Redcar Bears (on Friday and Saturday night respectively) that confidence could look spot on or misplaced. Potentially the Tigers will need to win today to ensure their play-off sport in which case with this afternoon’s visitors Peterborough Panthers racing for pride only the home team will fancy their chances.
