It’s official. The world’s best squash players are heading to London in the spring of 2027 for the PSA World Championships.

The most prestigious tournament in squash is all set to return to the capital! For the first time since the inaugural World Championships in 1976. Taking place from Saturday 27 March to Sunday 4 April the PSA World Championships in London will showcase the best players on the planet.
A stellar cast of 128 of the world’s leading male and female squash stars will take part. All aiming to follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest players ever to pick up a squash racket.
Egyptian duo Mostafa Asal and Amina Orfi are the current holders. Asal vanquished compatriot Ibrahim in Giza, Egypt to win his second World Championship title. Orfi became the youngest woman ever to become World Champion at the age of 18 as she denied Nour ElSherbini a record ninth World Championship title.
“London is one of the greatest sporting cities in the world. We are delighted to bring the PSA World Championships back to where it all began over 50 years ago,” said PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough.
“There is a real passion for squash in England’s capital. As evidenced by the success of the annual London Classic at Alexandra Palace and the Optasia Championships in Wimbledon, both of which feature incredible atmospheres.
“Hosting the World Championships in a city like London gives us a tremendous platform to grow our global audience. This is our showcase event, and we are committed to making sure the 2027 edition is the biggest and most memorable in the tournament’s history.”
