JC Lindsay Scottish Junior Open

A highlight of the Scottish Squash calendar the JC Lindsay Scottish Junior Open welcomes hundreds of top junior players from all over the world to Edinburgh over the next three days.  Spectating is free of charge throughout.

Scotland’s Sports Performance Centre Oriam and Edinburgh Sports Club share the hosting duties for this year’s Scottish Junior Open taking place from 28-30 December.

A  bumper field of players is once again expected at Scottish Squash’s flagship junior event which has previously seen players travelling from countries as far afield as South Korea, Japan, USA, Egypt, Malaysia and Ecuador to take part in ten different categories of competition from under-11 boys and girls up to the under-19s event.

🎟️ Admission is free for spectators at both venues on all 3 days of the tournament.

🚊 🚗 Travel tips; 

Oriam is located in the south-west of Edinburgh on the Heriot-Watt University campus, six miles from the city centre.  The mainline rail network runs to the city centre with major stations at Princes St and Haymarket.  Curriehill station, which is only one mile from Oriam, offers a frequent service to Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central Station.  Travel options by car, bus and air can be viewed on the Oriam Scotland website.

Edinburgh Sports Club is in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End just a short brisk walk from Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle.  If travelling by public transport the nearest railway station is Haymarket.  Car parking is available if driving to the venue.
