2025 EVENT PREVIEW – British Open Roehampton
Wimbledon Qualifying and Community Sports Centre is the place to be this week for the Lexus British Open Roehampton featuring the world’s biggest Wheelchair and Junior tennis stars.
Taking place from Sunday 29 June to Friday 4 July the Lexus British Open Roehampton is set to feature top wheelchair athletes and junior players in action on the grass courts at the Wimbledon Qualifying and Community Sports Centre in Roehampton.
The wheelchair athletes will complete in an ITF1 event on the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour. The junior players will compete in a J300 event on the ITF World Tennis Tour. Both are key tournaments for the players as they prepare for the Wimbledon Championships.
The wheelchair tournament starts on Tuesday 1 July with daily matches (full schedule below) until Finals Day on Friday 4 July. A stellar field includes Grand Slam winning trio Alfie Hewett, Gordon Reid and Andy Lapthorne as well as multiple Paralympic medallist Lucy Shuker. The British stars have a combined 57 Grand Slam titles and 14 Paralympic medals between them. The most recent being Hewett and Reid’s men’s doubles victory at Roland Garros earlier this month. The junior event runs throughout the six days starting on Sunday 29 June with Finals Day on Friday 4 July. This will feature some of the most exciting young talent in tennis. Last year’s winner Rafael Jodar went on to win the US Open Boys’ Singles title.

Thursday 3 July: Wheelchair Singles & Doubles semi-finals ~ Junior Singles & Doubles semi-finals ~ Junior Wimbledon Qualifying.
Friday 4 July: Wheelchair Singles & Doubles final ~ Junior Singles & Doubles final ~ Junior Wimbledon Qualifying.

Travel
🚊 🚗 Travel tips. Public transport is the best way to travel. Entry to the Grounds is via the Main Entrance in Bank Lane, which is off Priory Lane. The nearest railway station is Barnes, with connections to Clapham Junction and London Waterloo. The station is a short taxi ride or approximately a 20-minute walk to the venue. Alternatively, take a London Underground train to East Putney station on the District Line. Then take the 337 bus alighting at Rosslyn Park RFC which is a 10 minute walk from the Grounds. Plan your journey at the Transport for London website.
There are no public parking facilities at the Grounds which are in a residential area with traffic patrols in operation.
