An exciting day of tennis lies ahead at Edinburgh’s Craighlockhart Tennis Centre, as Scotland’s premier club doubles competition reaches a conclusion.
The climax of the Scottish Cup sees Glasgow club Newlands in with a chance of winning both the men’s and women’s events. Newlands’ men face last year’s runners-up and champions from two years ago, Thorn Park, in an all West clash while in the women’s competition Newlands – the current holders – face David Lloyd Aberdeen who have reached their first ever final. Can Newlands do the doubles double, or will either Thorn Park or David Lloyd Aberdeen spoil the party?
The Edinburgh venue hosts a total of 18 matches throughout the day as the finalist teams from the Scottish Cup draw compete for the top spot. A fantastic opportunity to watch top-class tennis up close and personal!
Play starts 11am. Admission is on the day with free entry to all spectators.
